About Sarah

Sarah Gonzales is an award-winning writer, broadcast producer and web designer.

Sarah most recently served as the co-creator and Executive Director of the Content Producers Guild, a non-profit media production company based in Alaska. She produced the radio program, Kids These Days!, chosen as "Best Ongoing Public Affairs" program in 2011 and 2012 by the Alaska Press Club. Sarah's worked in magazine publishing at Ms. and Variety, as a field producer with the BBC and other production companies in both California and Alaska, and as a books editor for various clients.

Since 1997 when her first short story was published, Sarah has been contributing writing to magazines and literary journals (see the writing page).

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Sarah holds a degree in English Literature with a secondary focus in Chicano Studies. She lives near Seattle and enjoys book clubbing, collecting Latin art, watching true-crime mystery shows, drinking wine while fishing, doing Sunday crosswords, catching up with old friends, coming up with new business ideas, growing flora and spending time with her husband, two adorable children and black lab.
